About the service — Water damage repair
After water damage the biggest threat is corrosion — moisture slowly destroys the board, even if the phone still works. That is why time matters: the sooner it gets to the service centre, the better the chance of saving the device and the data. We take the device apart, clean the board ultrasonically and restore damaged components.
Before you bring the device
A few things really increase the chance of saving the device:
Don't switch on or charge
Powering a wet board causes short circuits and speeds up corrosion. Keep the device switched off.
Don't dry it with a hair dryer or rice
These are myths — rice doesn't draw moisture out from inside, and hot air spreads contamination. What counts is professional cleaning.
Bring it in as soon as possible
Every hour counts. The earlier we clean the board, the less corrosion and the better the chance of success.
